Alibaba’s ‘new retail’ chain of stores continues to set itself apart in customer experience with the addition of Xurface, Beautyfarm’s cutting-edge spa concept. Located in Shanghai, Hema, Xurface caters to young professionals short on time and in need of quick treatments when they go grocery shopping after work.
To match the future-forward concept of the spa and supermarket, the design settled upon was decidedly sleek, transparent, and interconnected. Perimeter walls made of laminate and plasterboard in skin-toned hues were ‘drenched’ with polished polycarbonate emulating a hydrating sheet mask. Treatment areas are divided using curtains to maximize the small pace and allow flexible use depending on client needs. The main balance sought by the design was to create an uber-comforting space that was relaxing yet fast, and private yet open. Indirect lighting and soothing colors create a Zen environment that invites weary shoppers to immerse themselves in their surroundings and feel mentally refreshed.



阿里巴巴“新零售”连锁店战略仍在持续扩张,近来亦将其客户体验拓展到美容业态,打造其前沿品牌“美丽田园(BEAUTY FARM)”旗下孵化的SPA新概念。位于盒马鲜生上海湾内的XURFACE超体面首家门店,将年轻都市新贵定位成目标客户群,让忙于职场的年轻白领们在下班逛街之余,即能享受快速高效的护肤体验。
为了诠释品牌自身结合美容SPA与零售超商的前卫理念,店面的设计风格简单利落、线条流畅,并强调通透感及内部互通性。肤感的石膏板及防火板墙、及透过间接光源打亮的聚氨酯板、两种材质的层叠运用,不仅将品牌重推的护肤产品进行完美展示,亦令空间的最终呈现干净且通透。美容护理区域通过帘幕分隔,将小空间进行最大优化,同时满足消费者使用过程中的灵活可变性。
设计中追寻的平衡在于打造一个无比舒适的空间,既轻松亦高效、既私密亦通透。间接光源搭配柔和色调营造出禅的意境,让忙碌的消费者能够即刻沉浸其中,享受肌肤与精神的焕然一新。
