Situated on the 11th floor of the Hopewell Centre, an iconic landmark in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, the project enjoys a premier and highly accessible location immediately adjacent to the east entrance of the parking garage and the elevator core.
The silver-gray facade stands in striking contrast to the textures of the public area. Translating the vehicle display across the indoor-outdoor boundary, the design juxtaposes a bespoke circular lighting installation with a textured backdrop inspired by BMW’s brand DNA, capturing an unforgettable first impression.
Expansive glass facades gracefully dissolve the physical threshold between the interior and exterior, bringing a sense of crystalline transparency. At the entrance, the spotlight falls on the flagship models, complemented by metallic curtain light installations and vivid lightbox graphics to cultivate an immersive, cinematic ambiance.
Departing from conventional linear layouts, the showroom daringly positions its products and functional zones at a 45-degree angle. This angled choreography not only shatters routine visual expectations to enrich the spatial experience, but also ingeniously reclaims the resulting corner cutouts as customer lounges, product showcases, and a café zone, inviting guests into a journey of spontaneous exploration and discovery.
The overall space embraces a matte gray palette, thoughtfully curated to elevate the presence of the vehicles and user touchpoints. A central spine of arrayed linear light fixtures slices through the black ceiling, defining the primary navigation vein for visitors. Warm wood accents and the brand’s signature blue intertwine within the café area, where a bespoke blue metal window structure—inspired by local Hong Kong heritage—emerges as the crowning visual jewel of the space.
