El Terreno is one of those areas in Palma de Mallorca where the privileged location — between the harbour and Bellver Castle — has long stood in contrast to the modest quality of its surrounding properties. Today, Palma’s urban development plan is transforming this district, replacing abandoned former nightclubs with higher-standard residential buildings that reflect its true potential.
anySCALE was commissioned to transform a 90 sqm apartment — complemented by a roof terrace of equal size — into a state-of-the-art refuge for an international client. The goal was to create a bespoke home tailored to the lifestyle of someone accustomed to high living standards in Asia. Walls were reduced to the essential minimum to achieve a flowing spatial connection from the seafront to the tranquil courtyard. On one side, an open kitchen and dining area adjoin a generous living space; on the other, an open reading corner and a studio for remote work provide balance and versatility.
Special emphasis was placed on lighting: recessed, dimmable downlights combined with elegant decorative luminaires from Spanish brand Marset create a warm and inviting atmosphere, both day and night. Design accents include a tropical wallpaper, a walk-in closet in soft salmon tones, and an exquisite black engineered stone with golden veining featured in the open kitchen. All furniture pieces were sourced from Spanish manufacturers, chosen for their craftsmanship, quality, and understated elegance.
