The German sports car manufacturer Porsche commissioned anySCALE to design its new China headquarters in Shanghai, located at the prestigious Lujiazui Financial Plaza. The brief called for a space in which speed and passion—core to the Porsche identity—would resonate boldly throughout the design, while honoring the brand’s rich heritage.
To embody this legacy, the public meeting floor features a curated display of Porsche history: a timeline wall of model cars, an engine block installation, a trophy showcase, shelves with scale models, and a striking 1:1 replica of the Porsche 919 race car. The central staircase plays a pivotal role in the concept—it not only expresses the themes of motion and intensity, but also serves as a social hub, encouraging communication and collaboration among employees.
Beyond aesthetics and symbolism, the design was carefully aligned with WELL Certification™ Gold Standards, ensuring that the new headquarters supports the well-being, comfort, and performance of everyone who works there. For anySCALE, it was essential to create not just a space that looks dynamic, but one where Porsche’s people feel truly healthy, inspired, and proud in their Shanghai home.
