Located in Central Park, Beijing, Bubble Dogs is a café designed by anySCALE, serving specialty coffee, hot dogs, and sparkling beverages — with a hidden surprise: the Bowtie Whisky Bar, discreetly tucked away behind it. The owner, Mr. Ken, is one of China’s foremost whisky connoisseurs and a key opinion leader with a devoted following on the Red Circle media platform.
The café’s design features a cheerful palette of pink and light blue set against a crisp white background. The interior forms a simple triangular layout, enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass walls and anchored by a long, high communal table. Playfully, four pairs of painted legs appear on the exterior glass façade — a witty visual twist that humorously mirrors the seated guests inside.
Beyond a password-guarded glass door lies a hidden world: the Bowtie Whisky Bar, an intimate, dimly lit sanctuary dressed in shades of grey, blue, and orange. Exposed concrete walls and ceilings, copper frames and grids, and striped transparent glass illuminated by soft, atmospheric lighting combine to create an alluring sense of vintage sophistication — a refined contrast to the vibrant charm of the café outside.
